Selection of an economical aircraft for flights abroad

This bachelors thesis deals with finding the economically most appropriate aircraft for flights from Czech Republic abroad. The beginning part discusses an overview of aircrafts, available for rent in Czech republic. Describes the financial demands for particular types of aircraft, in regard to their cruising speed, time based fuel consumption and rental cost. Thesis then discusses ground preparations for VFR flight from Czech republic to Venice, applying the economically most appropriate aircraft from previous part. The thesis finishes by making a cost evaluation of the whole trip and offers a nicely uderstandable procedure for finding a financialy viable aircraft for flights abroad.

Hlavním cílem této bakalářské práce bylo vytvořit pozemní přípravy pro dva navigační lety do Estonské republiky s plně naloženým letounem Cessna 172SP podle pravidel VFR. První část obsahuje seznámení s letounem a jeho avionikou. Hlavní důraz je kladen na dodržení bezpečnosti letu a legislativy států, kde se let provádí. V další části jsou popsané jednotlivé trasy s letišti a omezenými prostory. V poslední části se práce zabývá finanční náročností obou letů.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create a detailed ground preparation of three different VFR flights from Czech Republic to the Republic of Croatia for a full occupied Cessna 172SP. The first reserch part is general introduction to the issue and acquaintance with the aircraft and its equipment. Special emphasis is placed on the fact that all planed flights are in accordance with aviation legislation, which is dealt with in the second part of the research part of the thesis work. The practical part of the thesis work deals with the issue of ground preparation itself, with the fact that it deals in more detail with navigation preparation of individual flights. Finally, the financial demands for our flights are given.

Cílem této bakalářské práce je vytvořit pozemní přípravu pro navrženou VFR trať z letiště Brno Tuřany (LKTB) do Belgického království na letiště Oostende (EBOS) pro tři typy letounů, kterými jsou Cessna C-172 SP, Piper PA-28-181 Archer II a Tecnam P-2002 JF. V první části jsou rozebrány požadavky kladené na pilota a představení letounů. Další část práce obsahuje výpočet hmotnosti a vyvážení, výpočet výkonnosti a návrh tratě. Na závěr je uvedena cenová kalkulace celého letu.

This bachelor’s thesis deals with the creation of ground preparations for 2 flights abroad, specifically to Italy and France. The work is divided, apart from the introduction and conclusion, into 7 chapters, in which the author presents the necessary requirements, legislative issues, familiarization of the reader with the aircraft selected for these flights, specific navigation preparation and additional comprehensive information intended for the pilot. At the end of the work, the author provides the reader with the expected costs associated with the planned flights.
